Hunk is about 17, with a lot of weight to show for it. Since he is strong, he can help the team out of various situations like getting out of a prison cell by bending the bars, moving heavy things, etc. Hunk is best friends with Pidge, and is a mechanic. He pilots the yellow lion while wearing an yellow-orange uniform.

The yellow lion is powered by the earth (magma), and is hidden in a lion shaped dune in the desert. When Voltron is formed, the yellow lion is the left leg. When not part of Voltron, the yellow lion can dig very fast underground.
