Princess Allura is the leader of Planet Arus. After Zarkon's first attack on Planet Arus, all of the royal family was killed, save Allura and Coran, the castle diplomat. Allura pilots the blue lion ever since Sven was injured by witch Haggar. She wears a pink uniform, which appeared out of nowhere. I say this because the pink uniform was never shown before she wore it.

Blue Lion is hidden in the Castle moat. It's power source is water. When Voltron is formed, Blue Lion forms the right leg. When not part of voltron, Blue lion can shoot water from its mouth, form ice walls, and is the only lion that can fight with great dexterity under water.
